Enjoy themed refreshments while browsing handmade goods, decorate an English Christmas crown and create a Victorian pickle ornament at the children’s craft table, and experience the charm of daily Victorian life by exploring the inside of the historic Queen Anne cottage, open to the public for a limited time during this celebration.

“The LA River Farmers’ Market is a wonderful way for people to experience the park and local flavors of the community, and also enjoy our ongoing events and activities that explore the rich natural and cultural heritage of the land.”Established on May 26, 2022, The LA River Farmers’ Market is a gathering place for our diverse community to engage in healthy eating, sustainable living, and cultural heritage. LA River Farmers’ Market currently has over 25 vendors including 7 CA small farms such as Sunrise Organic, Vang Farming Ventures, Garcia-Ruelas farms, and Rick’s Produce, bringing high quality produce and poultry for the community to enjoy.
At the market, you can use your CalFresh EBT card and WIC checks. Additionally, we offer Market Match which doubles CalFresh up to $35 per day. Stop by the information booth to receive your extra dollars to spend at the market!
Customers can also bring their food scraps from home for LA Compost to convert into high-quality compost at a community composting site. The local composting site for our market is just on the other side of the park, at Metabolic Studio. Metabolic Studio is at the market every week to facilitate free ecology-related art activities, including wild clay ceramics, seed bomb making, seed sorting, rock painting, and more.
Located at the South entrance to the park, near the intersection of Spring St. and College St. in Chinatown, DTLA. The market is accessible by foot, bicycle, train, bus, and car. It is directly adjacent to LA Metro’s Chinatown “A” Line Station (formerly the Gold Line) and there is plenty of free parking at LA State Historic Park.

Everyone from local families who live in the neighborhood to some of Southern California’s most respected chefs use the Market as their weekly food source and walk-in pantry.
The Hollywood Farmers’ Market is also a community meeting place with a wide-range of activities and offerings that include live music, activities for children, a rich and varied offering of artisans selling their handmade arts and crafts and book-signings by some of the most celebrated authors in the food world.
At the market, you can use your EBT benefits to purchase your groceries, which are matched through the GUSNIP and LA County ARP Market Match program, up to $15 a week for fresh fruits and vegetables. WIC and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program checks (FMNP) are also accepted. Stop by the information booth for more details!
